This Dorstenia grows only in the 'Taba'a Gorge' in Somalia where it is found partially shaded in the cracks of the limestone rocks, it receives very little water. It is the only dioecious Dorstenia (sexes on separate plants). It is also one of the most sought after. Can reach 30 cm in culture

Exposure : bright and partially sunny.
Temperature : minimum of 10°c (summer growth)
Soil : not too rich but mainly well drained
