Sansevieria ballyi is a small succulent perennial herb, forming a rosette of cylindrical leaves with patterns.
The dark green leaves are streaked with light green stripes. Stiff they measure no more than 10 cm long and curve inwards lengthwise to form a furrow.
It forms runners of about 15 cm, then takes root, creating a new plant.
The flowers are greenish white.
It is still often found under the name "Sansevieria sp. Bally 12681".
