Cleistocactus winteri subs. colademononis, sometimes listed under its former name Hildewintera colademonis, is a fantastic plant with very long, soft white spines, which look like hair. The common name "monkey tail" refers to the appearance of hairy stems. It blooms freely and the large, bright red-orange flowers are particularly decorative.
